Copy
of A Will / England & Wales Probate records available from 1858-2010
Shop 4 Documents can supply a copy of a will for the whole of
England and Wales from 11 January 1858 up to the present day. You will receive a copy of any proved Will,
as well as a copy of the Grant of Representation. The Grant will tell you who were the Executors or Administrators (those
appointed to gather in and distribute the estate). It may also tell you the name of the Solicitor acting for them (if any)
and the value of the estate, although usually only in very broad terms. Letters of Administration
with Will are when the deceased left a valid Will but without an acting Executor or
when the deceased did not leave a Will.
The information
required is: Full name of deceased, Date of Death, last known address of the deceased. If you are unsure of the above information , we can also supply a copy of a death certificate. We can supply the death certificate and a copy of the will as a package for £35.00. If you have any quiries
please contact wills@shop4documents.com
The cost for us to obtain a copy of a will with grant is £20.00
and includes a 4 year search from the time of death you stipulate ,UK Postage is included and there is no VAT.
Please note that, if Probate has not been granted shop4documents will
not be able to provide copies of any document relating to it.If the probate search fails to locate a trace we will give you
the option to enter another 4 year search period or we will refund, less our search fee of 50% .Therefore we will refund £10.00
on each search. If the death
was recent, it may be that Probate has not yet been cleared. The Probate procedure itself normally takes some weeks, and there
may have been a considerable further delay before the application for Probate was made.
If you apply before Probate has been completed, you will be notified that no details are availiable and if the death
occured recently we automatically enter the details into a standing search. A Standing Search remains in force for a period
of 6 months from the date of entry and provides copies of the Will (if any) and Grant if a Grant issues during this period. This
is included in the £20.00 fee and if after 6 months there is still no trace you will be given the option to extend for
a further 6 months or receive your £10.00 refund.
